I am a petal
I am a petal
On a flower
In the farthest back of rows...
I radiate my yellow
With a fervor
No one knows.
The silky-stick of texture
I strong and proudly wear,
God intricately weaved
Into my every wisp
With care.
I bathe
In morning dew drops-
I clothe myself
In wind...
As smiling grains of sand
Play around me like
A friend.
Puffy soldiers
In the sky
Dance past me
Every day,
Never noticing
The quilt of Irish green
On which I lay.
