UGLY
Who am I to give advice
So loathe to take my own
Love is what I advocate
But hatred I condone
I bite my tongue
I bide my time
Afraid that they'll all see
The ugliness, the monster buried
Deep inside of me
It has my face, my voice, my words
So ready on its lips
But all true meaning's buried
Beneath its witty rhetoric
The masses part, the mirror cracks
The truth will finally out
That in front of every misconception
Lies a sultry pout
Idle time, idle time
Ever the devil's plaything
I bide my time but my resolve
Is steadily abating
Idle time, idle time
Ever the devil's plaything
I bide my time, I bide my time
Impatiently awaiting
A day when first impressions
Are less incriminating
