The Web

From my intricate web I dangle with grace
Eight dancing legs perform at maximum pace
My glimmering masterpiece shimmers like glass
My glistening artwork decorates the grass.

Silver strands absorb the moon's radiant light
I glide like Tarzan past web-vines in the night
Elegant like diamonds, delicate like lace
This beauty is my home and my favorite place.

As dawn comes near and the dark begins to pass
As sun paints the horizon with shades of brass
Sparkling with dew, my web's a brilliant sight
water drips from it, almost dry but not quite.

I sigh at the serenity, but I know:
My work is never done, so now I must go
Wherever I am, search the night for my glow
I'll have a new work of art by tomorrow.

gorgeous! I think this is one of your best pieces that I've read.

I ask everyone, but if you have time, can you check out some of my work? I need some feedback for my new poem "A History's Sorrow", and also for the short story I just submitted "Alone?" (it might not be on the website yet when you read my comment)
