Of All Hopes and Dreams
Just once, I want to say exactly what I feel,
Without the fear of what might happen.
Just once, I want to walk down these crowded halls,
Without a single rumor following me.
Just once, I want to be beautiful,
Instead of “hot”.
Just once, I want to be told the truth,
Without any lies slipping between their lips.
Just once, I want to cry from laughter,
And shed no tears from pain.
Just once, I want the words that are said,
To truly have a meaning,
And the promises that are made,
To be kept.
