Peace to Help Me Sleep

I just want to be alone
in a place to call my own.
I want to run away
to live in peace, if only for a day.
I just want to be by myself here
not to have to deal with you, dear.
I want to figure out my head
while I lay here nearly dead.
I need to find me
to figure out who I am gonna be.
You have to let me be
so I can let this peace envelop me.
Peace to hold me still
stronger than my will.
Peace to take me away
if only for a day.
Peace that kills me
and lets my madness be.
