Three Words.
you wrote me one line.
three words.
simple, yet straight to the point.
an arrow directly through the center of my heart.
it took you centuries to write down the first few words.
you started it jokingly, pressed a few keys and expected relief.
you weren't planning on sending it when you wrote the first letter.
but, by the end of it, your fingers automatically pressed enter.
punctuation, enter. shock. disbelief.
a natural action followed by regret.
a shade of red.
you were afraid of my reaction.
i was unsure of your sincerity.
a waltz of awkwardness in tune with our misery.
three words.
"i miss you."
