Clouds
The first time I saw you,
You had passed over me.
As a sad storm cloud,
You pelted me with your raindrops, your tears.
I asked, "What's wrong?"
And you said, "I'm lonely...."
So I said, "I'll stay with you."
Then you smiled.
I saw the sun come up behind you,
Basking you in its radiant glow,
But your smile outshone it.
By far.
I noticed you were slowly drifting west.
I asked, "Where are you going?"
And you said, "I don't know."
So I decided to follow you to I don't know.
In the end, we never got there.
But that was okay.
Becasue by then, I had merged with you
And you with me.
