Reverie
Would you take me to the river,
 To the stream that holds my dreams
 And let its gleaming waters drown out
 All the sores of memory?

 Would you raise me towards the sky
 And bring the Sun and Moon down nearer;
 Send me swimming out in space
 So that the stars I may see clearer?

 And let the silence of a winter night
 Fill with cricketsongs of summer
 And the glow of hazy, pale moonlight
 Wake dreamers from their slumber

 Let them come out here to dance with me
 For I can never sleep
 And let their dreams become realities
 So that young we'll always be

 And would you take me to the river,
 To the stream that never ceases;
 Let my worries shatter on the ground
 And ne'er pick up the pieces?
