The Key
To avoid the path of lies and disparage
To never allow yourself to be just average
To compliment a laudable act of a friend
To stand out and not try to only blend
To learn not despair from your crushing fiasco,
To fly on adventures as far as Morocco,
To not masticate a problem but only let it slide,
To not turn to the mistaken and attempt to chide,
To not eschew your fear but face it with bravery
To quell that fright and look at it as unworthy
To suppress your voluble words and listen to others,
To take note of their words but derive your own answers,
To trust all others as your own confidante,
To raise your own tree that you did yourself plant,
To lift yourself tall still after a crushing defeat,
To still not turn to obsolescence nor deceit,
To be free in the world and not weighed by dubious pretense,
To but still have ready your own special defense,
To know the essence of faith and love,
Would that be the key to life and happiness for all?
