Wasted
Wasted in some dark alleyway
Licking the tip of the needle I stole
I can still taste the ephedrine that lingers there
I never planned to join the fray

Fray what remains of my nerves now
So I can't feel my own disapproval
Something in the air smells strangely like my disgust
I have to escape this somehow

 Somehow I don't believe it's done
Not when the bottle is only half gone
I can't believe in something written on a mirror
That face just says "Get up and run."

Run from the despair you tasted
Hold me tight. Don't let go for anything
Promise me that you will always be by my side
Then eat all those words you wasted
