All the action figures on you bookshelf
The empty Pepsi cans and dishes
Each discarded piece of dirty laundry
These, too, will eventually fall

The letters from distant family
The pictures drawn by childhood companions
Including the careless art of your lover
These, too, will eventually fall

Every trinket and memory
The Ikea sheets and comforter
Even the collar secured to your bed
These, too, will eventually fall

When you return to Valrico
Only to leave again before the next war
All that remains is you and me
These, too, will eventually fall

I currently live in the house that my best friend, who I'm in love with, used to live in. Her old room is my room. I spend an understandably long amount of time writing bitter poetry in said room.
