You chuckle.
You laugh.
You tease.
You mock me.
Self-consciousness,
An illness of the soul.
Never good enough,
For myself.
They say it's just a joke.
Do they know how much it stings?
I hurt myself enough,
With insults of my own creation.
Fat.
Ugly.
Slow.
Stupid.
Self-consciousness
Illness of my soul.
I mock myself,
So you see,
I don't need your help.
