To Check into Reality
Here’s my truth
What I must do
but won’t, because it’s hard.
I’ve lost my youth
Been born anew
alive but not unscarred.
To check into reality,
the time is coming near.
To run away is much preferred,
this clarity’s unclear.
To have a path
winding, straight
A thing that I can see
To have a wrath
enticing bait
A thing that I can need
Sinking in this nothingness
Trapped in everything
Holding onto lying bliss
Trying not to cling
To check into reality,
here on the eighteenth floor.
To close my eyes is much preferred,
but that I’ll do no more.
