The Rose
A rose is a flower that blooms full
And captures the sun with all its might
Its color shines during the day
And darkens by the night
In many ways you're like a rose
Blooming still in many ways
You have your moments in the dark
And your bright sunshiny days
You have your petals that have been torn
And shredded to the point that they're gone
But the others they still shine bright
You're determined to prove the world wrong
Sometimes the rain pours down
And for you leaves the world dull
But when that rainbow comes out
You appear even more beautiful
A rose can be torn, mangled and hurt
But its wounds it can heal
The pain is still deep beneath
But the beauty is even more real
You've been hurt countless times
But still you manage to never sway
You, the rose, pull through your moments in the dark
To face the shine of the next day.
