To Capture a Dream
With fingers frantically typing
 I wrote you into existence.
 In my dreams you had resided,
 and I sought to break our distance.

 The words I conjured failed me,
 nothing but letters set on white.
 Every word I weaved you out of
 refused to come out right.

 I wished I had not woken,
 had remained lost to sleep,
 for I could not bare you leave me
 when you I wished to keep.

 All I have now is this poem;
 letters contained within a row.
 I simply had to capture you
 in the only way I know.
