"Are you with me, or will you fall to your knees?" - We came as romans-

They say we have a choice,
That we all have a voice,
That's why I cry and scream,
Don't you wish it was a dream.
But the emotions overflow,
The insecurity will grow.
Until I'm crying blood,
My life just like a flood.
I have to make some change,
Don't want to rearrange.
So watch me step away,
I'll find this new way.
My life will grow to be,
Just what I once could see.
So now I walk in line,
I don't have much time.
I only live this once,
So I finally change today,
I can't always shine a ray,
A little light to hide,
In me they all confide.
Killing me nice and slow,
Can't help but let this flow.
Always going with the tide,
No longer can I hide.
I finally know just how,
I take that first step now.

-Hopeless-

I had a tough decision one night on whether or not I wanted to keep letting people kick me while I was down, or stand up and be me. I chose to be me.

Agreed :) this just is a really big reminder of what we have to do as humans sometimes. Sometimes we need to focus on our problems and hopefully before they explode in our faces like they did for me :p hope to talk to you again soon bro!!!! Thanks again for sharing this amazing, beautiful poem!!!

*.* words can't even begin to describe how much I love this....I can relate my hole life to this. All my life people would tell me their issues so instead of dealing with mine I supressed them so I could help others. And it's like your saying that one day you gotta wake up and reflect on yourself. To be alittle selfish and work on you instead of everyone else. This is....amazing for lack of a better word. I am seriously speechless....I absolutely love it <3 thank you. Thank you for sharing this

The more control you have over yourself, the less control others have over you.

Hey there! So, I just wanted to say that your description is so nice and I love to see people who have things like that.. it's very nice to know that there are people like you in the word trying to encourage others! This poem was so, so beautiful! The emotion in here is so over-whelmingly good, I can't put into words. The seventh and eighth lines really hit me very hard! It was so sad and sincere, very well written. Word choices are great and the descriptions are so clear and vivid! Rhythm in this is so lovely. You're an AMAZING writer.
