When the Bell Rings
I sit in my desk pretending to learn.
My body lies and my mind slowly burns.
I hope and pray that this hell dissipates.
The "silence" in the room just irritates.
When this purgatory ends, may I eat?
This subtle torture counts my heart's last beat.
My freedom soars as the bell loudly rings,
But the thought of my next class sorely stings.
