They say home is where the heart is
But what if at home no one cares
What if home's not all warm and fuzzy
Instead filled with shattered dreams
Broken promises
And boys on the corners living off drug money
Kids with the intention to live on the edge
Joining gangs
With no care if they end up dead
Young girls who grew up good
But changed with the 'hood
Now young mommas filled with all sorts of problems
Thinking if he only would
They say home's where the heart is
What if
What if your home's a hood
Where everything seems to go wrong
Not good
What if beneath all this you hear a voice telling you to strive on
