Abandoned House
Ivory out of tune,
Cat’s meow in silent room.
Thick windows, sticky with high noon.
Dusty flower petals.
Greasy bronze and gray lace,
Golden tassels, iron face.
Chairs, couches, teacups of every race.
A faint odor of mold.
My forgotten dreams.
Broken, sqeaking memories
Left to choke on dust under the couch.
Regrets and new hope.
