All around,
The earth is moving
Spring flowers are blooming
Words are soothing,
But I just sit and wait.
Some crowds are clapping,
Little children are laughing
Neighbor dogs keep yapping,
And I just sit and wait.
Somewhere,
Cameras are rolling
Couples in parks, strolling,
Friends are out bowling,
Still, I sit and wait.
Everywhere,
Consumers are buying
While sick ones are dying.
But still, people are trying,
While I just sit and wait.
Here,
Everything is going
And I am ever slowing.
The questions keep on flowing
But I just sit.
To wait.
