The Black Widow
The smooth onyx of my back is interrupted only by the ruby hourglass
It marks the end of my mate’s life and the beginning for my children.
I need no male for my eggs to be alive. I get my own food from my tangled web.
So much time and emotion goes into my home, always renovating never moving.
Males. They are weak they don’t stand a chance against my deadly
kiss.
I am as strong as my rock hidden home you can not get rid of me if I won’t leave
My children eat each other and you weak humans want no war.
Why bother trying? If I don’t want to lose my love maybe I shouldn’t try to find it
