Icarus Wings
We’re one-winged angels
Clinging together above the stars
The velvet of the sky
And twinkles of far off planets
Know no warmth
Like our embrace
And if the sun’s blood
Melts these Icarus wings,
Pearl tears like rain
Will weep from the sky
Hiding our fragile skin
And filling the gaps between
And we’ll plummet to earth
One being of hot flesh and cool wax
