Words blown away by a zephyr
Caught and taken away as softly
As those quiet lips that utter
Prayers and dreamings, given so gently

"--love you." Sent with tears to go West
Unfinished, yet still enough power
To carry good wishes -- the best
Bees and memories of sweet red flowers

Tender lips, pen scribbles, a key
To a house you will never return
Stir through your pocket, and you'll see
A bit of the love you'd thought you burned

Smile, but in a swing of cold spite
With your lighter, turn sweet words to ash
The letter you promised to write
Now lies as mere dust, like disgusting trash

In necessariis unitas, in dubiis libertas, in omnibus caritas.

Nice use of enjambment. Sad, too.
