Writing a Song
Rushing through my head like a speeding train,
A sudden outburst of a song in my mind,
A melody, a rhythm, a refrain,
Soon after forgotten, I often find.
Writing it does no good, it never works,
Alas, I give up at the second chord,
It already is full of quirks,
Then I am frustrated, and rather bored.
But much later, I come to realize
Every day, life is a song on its own,
Something as simple as glimmering eyes,
Sing many songs that will never be known.
But if you take just a moment to see,
Now you have just set another song free.
