NO REWIND
As I look out the window
Through frost covered glass,
The things of this world seem dim,
Faded away and hidden by time
And the apathy of our generation.
The fate of our home, resting on the shoulders
Of so many who don’t even know.
Pushed and pushed, ‘till everything crumbles
Into a million pieces,
And all we have is a broken world.
This unconscious suicide of everything we recognize;
A subtle curse bearing down,
Compressing our spirits into cold indifference,
Until we arrive at the point of no return.
