MY FOOL
You say it’s nothing,
But I say you’re wrong.
You say don’t judge,
But I must stay strong.
Sure I don’t know you,
I haven’t seen you in years,
But I’ll still speak my mind,
Though you’ll never hear.
I hate that my friend,
So close and so cool,
Could end up a pothead,
Without a future; a fool.
We were so young,
Those long years ago.
We played like children,
How could I know?
Who would have guessed
That my childhood friend,
Would be like all them,
Just a fool in the end.
