choke it down
i hope you choke on your words.
until you can no longer breathe.
your fake smile and your real lies.
they conquer the true me.
you said it again.
like it was the first time,
the butterflies in my stomach
they ache, this must be a sign.
your pictures they haunt me
as your lips long to kiss me.
i can no longer see straight.
i lean in to speak, and hesitate.
they all say "move on"
that im better than this.
but i have always kept hope.
since that very first kiss.
now i watch you from a distance.
and you never seem to miss this.
hoping to catch a sweet glimpse.
of the boy i continue to miss.
