Francis Manuel
Out of the vast multitude we see few
Come into contact with even fewer.
Fewer still those we call friends
Some we've known and some are newer
Friends are precious, but true friends are a real treasure
Worth their weight in gold
you're companionship not to be sold
Their value no one can measure
By your side they'll stay
Never gone or deserting
When you're right, cheer you on
When you're wrong be asserting
They accept your quirks, flaws, strangeness, altogether
Sometimes they're your tether
To sanity or better
Send you a message right down to the letter.
Next chance you get, explain to your friends
That no matter how much your friendship sways or bends
It will NOT break, it will NOT end
so write up that letter and hastily send.
