Wrong
You thought I didn’t see you
You thought I didn’t hear
The days your eyes stared at me
I saw into your soul
I saw my fears reflected back to me
You called my name
I heard the pleading cry in your voice
You grabbed my arm
I felt your cold touch seeking warmth
I knew what you needed, but not how to give it
Everyone calls me smart
A smart person would have fixed you
I failed you, I slapped your face
You chose me, needed me
I left you in dark solitude
Everyday I would see you
And pray to God for your soul
I thought you’d be okay
I thought, you though, we thought
Wrong
Were are you now
I scream your name
Your not there
