Violence
Witnessing the horror of what has come
you stand there wondering what has been done
no one will ever know
only certain things will show.
The pain you feel deep inside
you will never know that he cried
you just stand there unsure of what to do
while he falls apart like a structure with bad glue.
You act like this is just a movie
and everything is really groovy
even though deep within this is not true
you are just glad that it wasn't you.
The punching, kicking, and harassment that happens every day
just because he is gay
you are afraid to say anything because you are fearful of what the bully might do
because he knows you are a Jew.
You keep your mouth shut and hope for the best
and put this argument at rest
so you just sit in silence
hoping to stop the violence.
