If we could take into context
The power of our words,
Some of the comments we make everyday
Would never be said or heard.
If we could walk in the shoes of our enemies,
Would we be so quick to hate?
If we could see how they see,
Would we erase our words off the slate?
If we could spend one moment
To feel the pain of the people we’ve stung,
We would not say the things we say,
So next time, just hold your tongue.
