I’m out of gas, I’m running on empty
Getting off my course is always so tempting
I try to remember my hopes or my goal
I can’t, I’m going to throw my cards in, I’m going to fold
But I have to try I can’t let myself give in
I’m waging a war against myself and I’m going to win
Determination, strength, and perseverance will help me through
I say this to myself over and over again but I don’t know what to do
I’m losing myself more and more everyday
I need someone to help me or show me the way
I don’t want to end up like my mom
She isn’t happy with what she has yet she still is calm
I want a better life for myself and everyone around me
But sometimes we get blinded and we really can’t see
How what we do now affects our future
Our lives are like a cut we need a sucher
To keep us together and on our track
So that we are better than this and we never come back
