Since My Only Love Left

Since my only love left
I feel naked and exposed
angry letters written on my bare body
hoping for my only love to return
my breath is coming shallow
and my hands are working slow
my voice is cracked and colder
since my only love left
I'm tired when I wake up
and I'm cruel to my best friends
I whisper poems under my breath
since my only love left
I'm dieing inside
and nobody can see
'cause I haven't let anybody in
since my only love left
My smile has disintegrated
my laugh is now a whimper
my eyes face the floor
and my ears do not listen
My body twitches
and my heart races
but my lungs slow
and my blood pumps quietly
and my tears drip faster
and my life gets slower
since my only love left
