This is already a paradise
There's something else you should know besides the price
Rope-dive between the thighs of the Andes
Paste your tongue on the glacier with the palest fish underneath
Stroll on the roughest sands until you can't feel the soles of your feet
Stay close to the popping fire on the moistest peat
Picnic in the park where the sun's horns start growing wreaths
Laugh about the manager whose lipstick
always stains her teeth
Smile at the man on the Golden Gate Bridge who's full of woe
Pick up the cricket that wants to die in
the snow
It is but the mind can make a demon out of heaven's spirit
“To hell with them, nothing hurts if you don't let it.”
Lean your chest against your arm on a bed
Take heed of how the heartbeats cheat
your own head
You are a living reliquary of yet-to-do's
Life is only precious if you know its value
