Inner Vision
My soul has gone, left me alone, desolate
Abandoned me, like those I loved
Like every hope I’ve ever had,
Like every dream I’ve ever known
I’ve been alone here for so long,
Here I am with my hopes and dreams,
Every one has been crushed; the pieces scattered around me
So lost in the desolation of life
My own path to me is so obscure; I cannot see behind or ahead
Blinded by the fear of failure
Eyes so cold, mind so blank, my soul is alone
Sometimes I feel as if I cannot live on, yet,
My life alone and empty still has joy,
Joy is my one retained hope; it is for a better world
Peace lives in me, my one and only unbroken dream
This is my force, my power within
