Friends
When I told you that it’s over
You said it was the end
You told me that I couldn’t
Even be your friend
I wished it could be different
I wanted one more chance
To prove that I could be
Worthy of one last dance
Days went on like this
Not meeting each others eyes
Finally you gave in
And started to stop your lies
You said you missed me too
You really want me back
But more than I can take
Yeah, I got the knack
I said I’d think about it
But I can’t make any promises
So today I sit in thought
Do I want another kiss
I still don’t really know
But at least I still can send
A letter in your direction
I do because you’re still my friend
