other side of the leaf
i wish this one day had no definition
the way my /maybe blinded/ eyes
can smell the sky
i wish my crusted, flip-flop tanned feet
wouldn’t keep walking wherever
he went
and that i could stop coloring myself in
with the green crayons, with the only ones
that everyone could remember
and say they liked
and i wish i wasn’t so obsessed with the sky
but that's only four
what the random game card repeats -
this is bad luck, way over in Japan.
and i should put my boots back on.
