Not the One

At first all the things you did were just so cute.
I thought our feelings were, for sure, absolute.
But then I realized all you did was annoy,
And that you were certainly not THE boy.
When you spoke I just wanted to press mute.
Oh you simply had to get the boot.
Maybe it was just the same excitement as a new toy,
And what you now actually lacked was that newness joy.
But whatever the case, my interest had dilute,
And I no longer gave a hoot.
