Fleeting Joy
I flit from place to place,
Being revealed in each person’s face.
When Christmas is in town, I am too,
I follow all the holidays-and usually appear in you.

 When death befalls, I disappear,
But I will be back to whisper in your ear.
The party truly doesn’t start ‘till I walk in,
Otherwise it’s just dinner amid much din.

I touch those hearts that need me most,
And those who never feel me are nearly a ghost.
Hope, happiness, and laughter are all parts of me-
Since good things come in groups of three.
