Drip
From here,
The grass foams,
Shining with green
But a million other colors.
Beetle iridescence
Sparkles in mid afternoon sun.
The heat presses
Against my back
Alleviated only by a smooth breeze
That makes symphonies out of trees.
Sweat collects in my collar bone
Dewy and unpleasant
But the day drips with vivid
And I’m crispy with sun.
