The Rain Falls Down
The rain falls down on the ground
It hits the roof hard, banging on each board
The thunder pounds through the sky
The lightning shines so bright, through this very night with
The ground shakes wildly through each fight
Between the thunder and this jagged string of light
But the rain falls down with grace
And puts a smile on your face
You stop pacing through the night
While waiting for your delayed flight
You stop to enjoy this wonderful sight
With every drop of this liquid it is pure
The rain falls down on my broken heart
And blesses it once more with love
The rain falls down on my face and washes away my tears
The rain falls down on everything and rejoices gladness
It sings to all kind with no doubt of peace
The rain falls down on the ground and puts a smile on your face
