On those endless nights when Poppie comes over
Its always nice to see you smile,
So what if it takes a few beers?
After awhile we are all in good cheer!

The countless puzzles, The countless times
the pieces didn't line up.
The countless feelings of triumph and belonging as
that one murderous piece was put into place.

All the times I come home late,
your waiting in the living room
with the light on to welcome me home.
When your eyes are almost shut,
you follow me up the stairs and make sure I'm safe.

Off you go to work close to 7 o'clock,
you work hard all day so that I can have the perfect life.
And I do, I really do, and it's all thanks to you.
