My Moment
This place, this moment is mine,
For me to do what I want to do,
To be what I want I want to be.
In this moment, just this tiny moment:
I will no longer be suffocated by the drama.
I won't feel the pressure to fit in.
to be thin.
to be perfect.
Because fitting in is boring,
And I like curves, not bones,
No one is perfect, thats the beauty of it.
So for this moment, I will:
Wear my no name sweatpants,
Outside in the pouring rain.
Sing along to songs I don't know the words to.
I will run and jump and fall,
Then get right back up again.
And I will love like never before.
Then my moment will stop,
I will be forced back into adolesence,
and I will do whatever I can to fit in.
