Lost
Sitting here on this lonely dock is purely torture:
the rain patters furiously on the already sodden
wood,
making it impossible to be ‘comfortable’,
The sea pounds raggedly against the tethered
boat,
the water sloshing chaotically into its interior,
and the chilly winds screaming in my ears
make the atmosphere that much harder to bear,
but even
the sun,
the warmth,
the calm,
or even the breeze,
could never come close to righting this
wrong,
Absolutely none of these conditions,
could
by any means
ever
compare to the reason why this moment is so
excruciating,
because it is this moment,
this very second that I realize:
I am lost without you.
