we cried
opening our hearts and minds
and i directed you
my tapping the widow when i wanted you to go right
expecting you know when to turn
off our exit
i can be honest
with you
only
(i thought you'd like to know
i think you already do)
we were happy and sad
as you kissed my tears
and i smudged them on your jacket
i was stupid
to wear a dress
on the second day of october
the love built and overflowed
out of my heart
i wish i could've
just
expressed
it
