Wherever We Are Going
Where is everybody going,
 when will they be back?
I have no way of knowing.
 Maybe I should pack.

 When will they be back?
I ask, but there’s no sign of slowing
 Maybe I should pack.
I ask for help, none is showing.

I ask, though still no sign of slowing,
if there’s some knowledge that I lack.
I ask for help, none is showing.
So I help to pick up the slack.

If there’s some knowledge that I lack,
I’d have no way of knowing.
So I try to pick up the slack,
 no matter where everybody’s going.
