My friends in lockdown,
When i talk too them
I can hear them saying "one time".
That lets me know hold on gurl.
when I write my friends,
I see state prison.
The walls are tall,
The fences are barded.
There is a guard,
In corners of every room.
Times are hard,
Times are tough.
Why does life have to be so rough?
I came to visit,
Just for a minute.
Knocked on the glass window,
And listened on the pay phone.
I miss my friends,
Lord knows i do.
But the only thing,
I do is stay true.
Stay true to them,
And keep them in mind.
