The Grey Day Blues
Today’s view out the window, is grim and bleak
The skies are a blank canvas, it’s rather weak.
The clouds appear to feel quite glum
Without the everpresent glow of the shining sun.
Raindrops hit the window with a satifying drip
They slide down, with a jump and a skip.
As the water glides off of cars, buildings and other
It appears as though the rain has drained away their color.
I draw my eyes back into my class
Away from the window and its grey glass.
This grey day has given me the blues
Interesting how something so dull can be such a muse.
