Goodbye?
No connection,
Just a little admiration
We all got choices,
And I picked you
To be the head of my nation;
The corners of my
Sparking stations.
Sitting here,
Staring at you
Where are the flames?
What happened to the love
that was supposed
to appear with you as my crush?
Oh no, its not here,
And forcing myself onto your walls
Isn’t going to bring on the sparks,
it will only degrade them with your dart.
No more shooting stars
To capture this love.
It was never invented.
(Never there to begin with.)
Damn it.
Fabrication at its best,
I can’t play this game
For no longer than your
Second guesses.
Your smile is making me weak,
but not weak enough to bend my knees
and kiss your effervescent keys.
Let’s just spare ourselves,
And say goodbye.
(so I guess this is Goodbye)
I can still see that innocent face of yours
Streaming out of my front door.
I know you are gone today,
You are gone
With my degrading ways
(Goodbye).
