Am I Serious

You ask am I serious
and I say I'm not.
But on the contrary I feel
you hurt me much.
You're good and I know
but you can't just hide
how much you concoct
and I drift aside.
Sidelined I am
from you and your life,
but present you are
in my every strife.
Running I am
to reach out to you,
but farther you run
and seconds left are few.
Quiet I am
for the pain you gave is much,
but happy you are
because you don't feel as such....
